“Les Chants de Pierres” performed by Laura Marie Olseng in Belgium
The Norwegian carillonneur Laura Marie Olseng will perform “Les Chants de Pierres” this Sunday at 4 pm at the Church of Soignies. It is already a rare thing as a living composer to see your works performed after the première but -since that one is for carillon, the biggest instrument ever- I feel very lucky. Thank you Laura Marie.
Première of “Agonies and Ecstasies of a young Soul” for harp
The première of “Agony and Ecstasies of a young Soul” occurred last week during the 8th Rio Harp Festival. Ronith Mues performed it twice there beside a few classics from the harp repertoire (Fantasie by Louis Spohr, Légende by Henriette Renié,…). I shall post the recording at the beginning of June.
Following in King David’s footsteps for Ronith
After years of hesitation, I could not resist the spell of the harp any longer and am venturing into composing a solo piece for the instrument. The composition will be premièred by the mesmerizing Ronith Mues from the Konzerthausorchester Berlin in early May in Rio de Janeiro.
Fritz Kalkbrenner’s second album is out
It has been a couple of months now but it is never too late to announce a piece of good news: Fritz Kalkbrenner’s new album Sick Travellin’ is out and my guitars are all over the place.

2 Trailers for Vember’s upcoming album
A few words about my indie-pop band Vember: the new album has been recorded between April and June with producer Simon Frontzek (Tomte) and should be released in early 2013. Until then, here are two short videos featuring two new songs (So wie wir sind and 63 Stufen) and footages of concerts we did in Hamburg and Kiel in last September. Viel Spaß!
