Back in town with the last remixes – The end of an era

I’m back in Berlin with the last remixes of the songs I’ve composed between November 2004 and now: George’s Curry, Senghennydd Blues, Viva Gaya and Back to the Core have been thus remixed. Twelve tracks should soon be released as a self-produced unofficial album. For me, it’s the end of an era and I’ve got the the strong feeling it’s time to move on to a new level. Concerning my career, there are some cool stuffs going on. Concerning my music, I want to go to the next step and produce better and bigger. I’ll let you know very soon.

1000th visitors, one new song and a rarity

I’m very glad to see that more than 1000 people have visited my website and heard my music.

The new track is called Disco NWA (No Woman’s Allowed). Don’t take the title seriously but have a couple of listen since this tune is hot. The rarity is called Dual Hell. It was recorded in November 2004 in Cardiff and is therefore to be found at the bottom of the My Music page since it’s the oldest songs here.

My last song and one of my first songs, I couldn’t do better now to thank all the people who have interest in my music. Thank you all and keep coming.

The Orange Experience – a fresh new song

After 2 months where I couldn’t get to finish a composition, this tune is a great relief since it was composed, recorded and mixed in two days and contains a lot of ideas I wanted to materialize. I’m proud of it and wish you’ll like it too.

Beside that, a new version of Downtown Breakdown is available where the drums has a more vintage 70’s sound. That’s the official version for now but the old version can still be listened to.

Research and Contemporary Music section opening

Here it is at last. It’s a place where you can learn more about Justin Lepany as a composer. At the moment, you can listen to two pieces and read an essay in english about Spectral Music. All those things belongs to my university years but there should be fresh things soon since I’ve never lost my interest in composing in a more perspective d’avant garde.

Leyan

It is time to introduce Leyan, a project I’m part of since March. It’s a pop-rock project founded by the film soundtrack composer and producer Jürgen Ecke and a singer, Leyan. The casting attracted a lot of musicians and I’m proud to be in. The other selected musicians are great as well. I’ll let you know how it goes but you can already visit the official website www.leyanmusic.com

What’s up? (news + remixes)

Hello everybody. It's been a month since I've updated this site. I have been busy with my projects and just had no new songs to propose. Ì still have no new material but am workink on five songs at the same time that should be really cool.

Apart of that, I've made remixes: Nosferatu, Back To The Core, Tempus Ex Machina, George's Curry and Keeping It Real. No big deal, just a few fixes here and there.

Studio pictures added

A few weeks ago, I did a few photo sessions for Oliver Schümers, a photographer based in Hannover. The pictures are not ready yet but he allowed me to publish a couple of them. They are in the pictures section. Thanks to him, and to Mathieu Dagorn as well for editing them.

More than 500 people have visited this website.

It may sound silly to be so enthusiastic when some websites do that within an hour but it just makes so happy that this homepage receives regular daily visits after three months (and my visits are not taken in account). Every people wich browses that website is someone I've got to know through contacts, adds, gigs or jam-sessions plus good friends that want to check out how I'm doing. Music is a hard business and every visit just helps keeping on rocking.

Thank you all.

Two new songs to celebrate the spring in Berlin

After more than six months of depressing cold, the sun has finally found the road to Berlin. That's a good excuse for two new songs:

– A funky track called Downtown Breakdown

– An acoustic track called Midnight Caravan

As usual, they are in the My Music section.

One new songs + the end of the remix campaign

I've posted a new song called Back To The Core which is a hot bluesy track. Take a look in the My Music section.

Beside that I've finished to remix the old songs: Senghennydd Blues is already available, Keeping It Real will be uploaded during the week-end since I still have a minor clipping problem to fix. Now that the remix campaign is over, It's time to move on.
