Justin L\u00e9pany is a composer whose work explores the territory between experimental classical writing and hybrid electronic performance. He writes primarily for choir, but also for orchestra, organ, chamber ensembles and bells, as well as for live electronics and voice.<\/p>\n
His piece Ringing Peace<\/em><\/a> for carillon was premiered at the opening of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo. In 2015, he released Agnes (in Redemption)<\/em><\/a>, a solo album uniting his music with his photographic work. In 2018, he composed L\u2019Homme contre l\u2019Homme<\/em><\/a> for the centenary of the WWI Armistice in France.<\/p>\n Over the past years, Justin has focused on new choral music, collaborating with ensembles in Europe and the Middle East, particularly in Lebanon and Syria. Since 2022, he has also produced experimental mixes for radio stations such as LYL Radio (France) and Noods Radio (UK).<\/p>\n In 2023, he founded the experimental vocal group SADA Ensemble<\/a>.
